Summer of the Sophomore

It's summer! And I am officially a sophomore! Yeah! Wow, freshman year came and went very fast. I am amazed at how quickly my life is going! I'm hoping I can do sophomore year a little bit better than I did Freshman year. Fingers crossed!

Freshmore

I'm almost a Sophomore! Yeah! Te current title of this post is freshmore because that is what my English teacher calls us during the second semester. Almost a sophomore. Amazing how fast that went. I am really surprised actually. It looks like I will graduate before I know it.

But, in the mean time, many more high school posts! Life is exciting and I don't plan on missing any of it!

Best stuff ever…

So, my brother (5) just had his birthday and got all of these really cool toys. Some f the ones I thought were the best though:
1. Spy Gear
2. Model Magic (like foam play dough)
3. Ikea children swivel chair (it actually has a different name, but I can nether pronounce it or spell it…)
5. Giant coloring book
I just thought I would put that up there. You know, in case you ever wanted to get a five year old boy toys…

Accidental

Do you ever watch those movies where the guy and girl are in the same clubs or hang out? And then over time, they fall in love. It's the cutest thing. And then they try to hide those feelings, but the can't and then they end up being together. Love it.

Honor Roll Assembly

I hate them.  Honor Roll Assemblies are awful.  I would be fine if I just got a certificate in the mail.  But no, we have to go walk on stage with 300 people watching you.  And it's even worse when they loose your certificate and you stand and wait awkwardly. Honestly, it's pointless.  And auditorium seats are so hard to get out of!  Really, I mean, you should probably organize people before you start the assembly.

Now, I love that people recognize how far I've come in academic achievement.  But, I have stage fright at some times.  Not like fainting or that, but like I won't look at anyone.  I just get really tense really quick and have anxiety build up.  I just have to remember to breath.

Yeah... remember to breath.

Wow

I really didn't realize how quickly my life is going by. Some people told me that when they went to high school, the time just flew by. That was when I was in middle school and thought that this would never end. But I'm looking back at the first blog post I did on the first day of school and I'm amazed that I'm already in second semester and it's almost February. Then I started thinking about things like college and my future and what I wanted that to look like and was really conflicted inside. The next four years are going to be very interesting.

78.2: Legacy

Did you know 78.2 is the average life span? I walked into my study hall class a few days ago and on the wall were some quotes. Painted right above the white board was a life line. It said "You were born" at the beginning and at the end it said "78.2: the average life expectancy". About the point where you would think high school was, there was a tick mark that said "You are here".

That gave me some perspective about my life. I really do only have a limited amount of time here. I've used a lot if it up. I can only do this once. What am I going to do to make my life the legacy that I want to leave behind? I have so many things I could do! So I'm going to go find my legacy.

P.S.- Good luck finding yours! (Seriously, I mean it).
